This is a BO5 Grand Final at a PGL event, and the market has Astralis as a fairly heavy underdog at 2.35. That feels wrong.

Both teams are on incredible runs. Astralis have won 9 of their last 10, and the quality of those wins is striking: FaZe, Spirit, FURIA, The MongolZ and 3DMAX all taken down. FUT's 8-2 record is impressive too, with wins over MOUZ, G2 and The MongolZ, but their path through this tournament has been softer (B8 twice, PARIVISION, NRG). The H2H sits at 6-6, and Astralis already beat FUT 2-1 in this same event. The BO5 format is where the real edge lives. Astralis have two fortress maps: Ancient at 86% win rate over 14 maps and Overpass at 72% over 18. FUT don't play Inferno at all and have a brutal 25% on Anubis, which limits their banning options. In a BO5 where five maps can be in play, FUT's narrower pool gets exposed. They're strong on Mirage (77%) and Nuke (83% but only 6 maps), but Astralis can steer the veto toward their strengths more effectively across a longer series.

Astralis' individual stats back this up too: a 1.17 rating and 81.9 ADR compared to FUT's 1.12 and 75.5. The market is pricing FUT as if their hot streak against largely inferior opponents translates directly to a BO5 final against a team that already beat them here. At 2.35, Astralis only need to win 43% of the time to be profitable. I have them closer to 52%. That's a substantial edge on the biggest match of the day.
