This is not a team playing with confidence right now, and that matters on LAN at the CCT Global Finals. Meanwhile Sharks arrive with real momentum: 2-0 over Imperial, 2-0 over Fluxo, and a strong run through the SA scene. Yes, SA is a tier below EU, and that discount is warranted. But the question isn't whether Sharks are better than NiP overall. It's whether they win more than the 40% implied by 2.52.

The map pool dynamics are fascinating here. NiP's only strong map is Nuke at 71%, but Sharks are an 83% Nuke team across 18 maps. NiP can't lean on their comfort pick because Sharks match or exceed them there. Beyond Nuke, NiP are mediocre at best: 22% Mirage, 33% Overpass, 45% Ancient. That leaves Dust2 (55%) and Anubis (50%) as their other playable maps, neither inspiring confidence. Sharks have the flexibility to find favourable maps in the veto with their Inferno (64%), Mirage (67%) and Anubis (100%, small sample but telling).

I'd put this closer to 55-45 NiP rather than the 60-40 the odds imply. At 2.52 on Duel, Sharks represent a modest but real edge for a team with LAN motivation, better current form and a map pool that can exploit NiP's weaknesses.
